Stibnite, sometimes called antimonite, is antimony sulfide. It is the principle ore of antimony. Stibnite occurs in hydrothermal deposits and is often associated with realgar, galena, orpiment and other sulfide minerals. It was used as eye makeup, kohl, by the ancient Egyptians and other peoples.

Stibnite unites the base, sacral and solar plexus chakras. It creates an energetic shield around the body. Stibnite is protective during astral travel. It is useful in eliminating emotional ties to past relationships that no longer serve ones highest good. Stibnite is a healer of the stomach and esophagus.
