Linarite, Acari Mine, Peru, MM#17

Linarite, Acari Mine, Peru, MM#17, 56mm x 56mm x 30mm, 93.2 grams, Price: $40.00

The most prominent feature of this piece is the stripe across the center. It is composed of a blend of botryoidal black material combined with an equal amount of crystalline blue linarite. On one side, we see a nice dusting of small, green malachite deposits and blue linarite scattered about. Here and there are small deposits of a maroon colored material associated with the linarite.

These linarite specimens were mined from the Acari Mine, located in Caraveli Province, Arequipa Department, Peru.

Linarite is a somewhat rare, crystalline mineral. It is copper lead sulfate hydroxide. Linarite is known among mineral collectors for its unusually intense blue color. It is formed by the oxidation of galena and chalcopyrite and other copper sulfides.

Metaphysically, linarite instills confidence and the ability to use talents brought forward from past lives. Linarite helps one to understand the reason for and how to live within limitations.
