Hubnerite is a rare mineral from the family wolframite. It is one of the principle ores of tungsten. It is identified by its dark color, one direction of perfect cleavage and high specific gravity. Hubnerite does not form alone and is usually found embedded in pegmatites and high temperature quartz veins.

Hubnerite opens the earth and base chakras. It grounds negative energy and aids in the assimilation of higher vibration energies. Hubnerite is useful as a detoxifier of the physical and emotional bodies. It is useful in healing the liver, spine and pancreas.

These specimens were taken from the Pasto Bueno Mine, Pallasca Province, Ancash Department, Peru.
