This is a nice cluster of dogtooth calcite crystals colored brown by hematite inclusion. The white base fluoresces hot pink under UV light. The crystal tops fluoresce, but are a bit dark in color to show it well.

Calcite is a carbonate mineral, being composed of calcium carbonate. It is one of the Earth’s most common minerals. Calcite constitutes a major portion of sedimentary and some metamorphic rocks. It also occurs as a vein mineral and in deposits from hot springs.
